Pharmaceutical companies have found a way to cure every ailment under the sun.

Are you sad?

Are you angry?

Does it hurt when you breathe?

Then have no fear because you will be made “right” again.

Take this pill.

Drink this syrup.

And call me in the morning.

But there is no medicine that can put me straight, no prescription they can write me.

There is nothing they can give me that will alleviate me of my lonely heart.

Taken away from Hearth
And placed in Villainy’s embrace
These babes in the woods
Stood no chance and
In one another’s arms they died

Wearing only Chanel and underwear,

She offers Pandora’s Box,

Hoping that the night will lead her to love.

Hands grabbing at unrealistic expectations of love,

Teetering on the thin line between whore and desirable,

Between being a lover and being loved.

Stumbling home on broken heels,

Passing the old cathedral,

Life never is what you expect .

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher has had a year full of medical problems, including broken ribs and a “frozen shoulder,” but as she told Prevention in their June issue, it’s not slowing her down in finding love and happiness.

Hatcher’s medical problems began when she turned 45 after she cracked two ribs falling off a ladder while helping build a stage for her daughter’s birthday party.  Then, while filming ABC’s hit reality show Desperate Housewives, she broke another two ribs while pole dancing.  But all of these maladies have taken a backseat to her “frozen shoulder.”  Frozen shoulder, medically referred to as adhesive capsulitis, causes stiffness and chronic pain in the shoulder area and greatly restricts movement of the arm.  It’s sometimes associated with perimenopause (which Hatcher has stated that she does not have), and is found in women between the ages of 45 and 55.  The disease lasts for about two years, and then, just like magic, disappears. As all of the paparazzi and news stories hit, the Pulse Creative team takes a deep breath, gives some high-fives, pats on the back and some of us needed a full day of the boss’s personal recuperation medicine (aka a day at the spa).

It was an amazing event due to the grand visions of the Chmerkovskiy and Volynets families, who were great to work with as always. But behind the scenes our little team of idiot savants wind down and give me the inside scoop to how intense and challenging the project was. Here are some of the perspectives from the Pulse team:

“Find out what I have to do to become an astronaut.”

That was the first thing ever told to me at Pulse Creative. Before joining Pulse Creative however, I did a brief stint at a relationship/celeb blog. As a creative writing major from Central Florida, I was thrilled to get an internship at a relationship/celebrity blog in New York. Based on the phone calls between my boss and myself, I would be writing blog posts on celebrities and how us “normal people” could find relationship advice out of what they did in their high society romances. I could not wait to get started in Long Island. However, when I actually started working there, my job did not include writing.  I was looking at hundreds of blogs each day and writing what ads they had on their sites. I would come home from work and I would hear my twin sister, Jess, tell me how amazing her internship at the Pulse Creative was. Continue reading →

How do they not see what we see?

It’s beautiful, not ugly

We love as they love

Hope as they hope

Dream as they dream.

Yet we are wrong.

We are different, so we are damned

Shunned, banned, abused

One day we wish to be free

Free of your hate

No more hiding, no more fear

Once we are free like everyone else

This country will live up to it’s name!

Would you like to live forever
To watch time fly by
To watch all life quickly pass, as you linger on.
To view good times and bad times while you can only stand alone.
All that you love goes away and the earth does decay.

Would you like to live forever?

Even after all of the other guests had left due to the rain one stayed behind. Kneeling in front of the freshly dug grave, a song escaped his lips as he began to cry.

The soft laughing of a girl filled the evening air as a boy whispered something in her ear. She playfully punched his shoulder brfore looking down at her wrist-watch and realized the time was later than she thought. She motioned to the boy that it was time for her to go home. He put his arms around her to signal hat he didn’t want her to leave him. When she tried to escape from his grasp Tom voiced his thoughts on the matter.

“You can’t stay there! You’ll die if you do,” Continue reading →
